Looking Ahead to 2025

Singapore will be hosting two high-level water events in June 2025 – Singapore International Water Week Spotlight 2025 which will be held from 23-25 June 2025, and the 41st International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research World Congress (IAHR2025) which will be held from 22-27 June 2025.

SIWW Spotlight 2025

Cities around the world have been experiencing increasing severe storms and extreme weather patterns which have led to devastating floods that have destroyed properties and disrupted communities. With climate change, these storms are going to be more frequent and more intense in the future.

Against this background, Singapore is organising SIWW Spotlight 2025 with the theme "Flood Resilient Cities: Adapting to Climate Change" to discuss how cities can adapt to climate change and build greater resilience to floods and extreme weather events. This three-day high-level Summit will bring together leaders from cities, utilities, regulators and industry to exchange experiences, share case studies and facilitate peer-to-peer learning in tackling such climate challenges. Covering topics such as weather sensors and forecasting, city master planning, adaptation solutions, digital tools, flood preparedness and defence, community social resilience, and disaster recovery, over 250 leaders and experts, including more than 40 cities, are expected to gather to discuss and share strategies and solutions being implemented in major cities across Asia and globally.

Key Programme Highlights:
  • Cities Roundtable, the flagship programme of Spotlight 2025, will allow city leaders to come together to share experiences with their peers, form partnerships and alliances, develop solutions and take concrete action.
  • High-Level Plenaries which will shine the spotlight on how industry can provide access to knowledge, technology and innovation to support the transformation of cities to become more climate resilient.
  • In-Focus Forums, curated thematic-focused sessions that present case studies of projects and solutions that have been successfully implemented in cities.
  • Solutions Marketplace, an exhibition which will showcase the latest innovation, solutions and services on flood management and coastal protection.
  • Networking Functions which offer informal opportunities to foster business and collaboration over drinks and meals.
  • Technical Site Visits to facilities and installations which offer a first-hand experience of Singapore’s integrated approach to achieve water sustainability and resilience.

We are inviting industry and solution providers to join us at SIWW Spotlight 2025. The registration fee to attend Spotlight 2025 is SGD$2,500, and the event will be capped at 250 delegates.
